Reimbursements
If you have supplementary insurance, the treatments are covered by the supplementary insurance. Motiva has contracts with all insurers.
Basic insurance
A number of conditions are covered by the basic insurance. For instance, hip and knee osteoarthritis have been included in the basic insurance since 2018, with 12 treatments being reimbursed. For chronic conditions, in some cases, reimbursement starts from the 21st treatment.e Treatment reimbursed, consider here physiotherapy after an operation/procedure or, for example, trauma. Reimbursements from the basic insurance are settled with the (annual) deductible. For this, you need a referral from the general practitioner.
For COPD, as of January 2019, the reimbursement starts from the first treatment, and the number of treatments per year depends on the severity of the COPD.
Physiotherapy for individuals under 18 years of age is fully covered (9 treatments, with an additional 9 upon referral to a pediatric physiotherapist).
Supplementary insurance
If you have (natura) coverage for physiotherapy, the sessions will be automatically submitted to your insurer. Have you received treatments elsewhere? It's useful to inform us beforehand.
